Boise St.
They will probably win this game, but if any team from a BCS conference gave up 28 points to La Tech they would be laughed out of BCS title talk. Imagine if Boise played in a legitimate conference each year. 2-4 losses routinley

If Boise State played in a 'legitimate' conference, they would be able to recruit like one. This particular argument is silly. Doesn't matter what Boise State would do in the PAC 10 or the SEC when they don't receive the same monetary compensation from bowl/tv revenue and don't get to recruit like one.

Exactly. The four newest Big East members have all had their best national finishes ever since they were granted a seat at the BCS table. Cincinnati is not in the position it is today if still in Conference USA.

You play right into the point I am making. Boise does not recruit the talent. Boise State most especially does not play a schedule that compares to any of the top teams. If they can only slip by LA Tech, how the hell do u expect them to make it through a major conference?
I just find it HILLARIOUS, because the same people who cry about the injustice made agaisnt BSU claim that Iowa has no right in the BCS discussion.
Boise is at best a 2 loss team if they played in the PAC 10.

If the Youngstown St Penguins played in a "legitimate" conference they would recruit like one, therefore any argument agaisnt YSU having success in CF is invalid because they don't have the same access to recruit as teams in major conferences.

they could recruit better if they were in a BCS conference?
Mississippi St. (25-43-0)--0.36765
Vanderbilt (25-43-0)--0.36765
Stanford (24-42-0)--0.36364
Illinois (23-44-0)--0.34328
Washington St. (23-44-0)--0.34328
Baylor (22-44-0)--0.33333
Syracuse (19-48-0)--0.28358
Washington (15-52-0)--0.22388
Duke (13-53-0)--0.19697
All of these have bigger stadiums, bigger fan bases, and more money than BSU.

Really? Ohio State nearly got beat by Navy...Troy nearly beat LSU...Jacksonville State nearly beat FSU
Speculation on how Boise State would do isn't the same as them deserving a chance to play for the National Championship, which of course they do...you don't have these arguments in the NFL. You win your division there and you're in...there should be a playoff and Boise State should be in it, and recruiting would no doubt follow

Ya but the point you're making is basically stating the inequity in the college football landscape...Boise State's schedule sort of depends on which conference will accept them, and which schools will schedule them, do you think they're playing that schedule on purpose?
A schedule should NEVER be secondary to a chance to prove your worth ON THE FIELD, and in the crappy BCS, you don't get that opportunity...
the system is a joke

I would argue that success recruits better than anything...
Texas Tech out recruits Texas A&M right now...A&M has a bigger stadium, fanbase, resources, etc., but Leach has made Tech successful and they're a better football team than the Aggies
