Default WOW: Bama vs FSU in Pasadena; Oregon vs OSU in Rose Bowl!!??

Anyone realize what could happen here?

We could end up with Alabama playing FSU in the BCS NC game in Pasadena, and Ohio State playing Oregon in the traditional B10 vs Pac12 Rose Bowl....in Pasadena.

All 4 powerhouse, unbeaten teams. In the same city, at the same time, LITERALLY looking like a Final Four Round 1 event.

But the 2nd game would never be played.

PLEASE DEAR FOOTBALL GOD MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!!

Perfect death to the BCS if that scenario played out.

I mean, how symbolic would that be, those 4 teams, all unbeaten, all in LA at the same time, playing each other, but the final game just never happens?

FSU 35, Bama 28
Oregon 31, OSU 27

And FSU vs Oregon just never happens, although they are already in the same place at the same time haha!

Once in awhile I have really bizarre dreams where there are multiple football teams playing in the same game....

Maybe you could combine the games and have FSU D vs. Oregon O, then Oregon D vs. Alabama O, then Ohio State O vs. Bama D, then Ohio State D vs. FSU O

I'll list this idea in my new book: "101 Really Lame Ideas"

If this scenario happens.....some billionaire, like the Nike owner, or the entire Alabama booster club, or all the FSU NFL players, should throw billions into a bank account, and declare that they will donate it to the Wounded Warriors Foundation AND the Crippled Puppies Foundation, if the two winners will meet for an exhibition game.

Let the NCAA take the PR hit for saying no.

well, the BCS guys will say, "next year we won't have this!"

its really a lame duck year for the college football postseason

That said, I bet someone loses....Oregon doesn't really have any more light-weight games....

If you really look at their schedule, their first 5 games were easy....Tennessee has given some SEC teams fits, but that was at Rocky Top. Alabama handled them with ease and Florida beat them as well...

I don't think it was a good sign for Ducks fans that UCLA hung around with them... I felt Stanford sort of dominated UCLA.

Oregon plays:
@ Stanford
Utah
@ Arizona
Oregon State
and possibly vs. Arizona State

I think Oregon stubs their toe....

we'll see

I agree Vodka, I think Thursday night at Palo Alto, in front of an amped up crowd on national tv will be to much for Oregon to overcome. That said if they do beaty Stanford at Stanford I wouldn't have any problems seeing them in the national title game, ahead of FSU, Bama or anyone else, because as far as I'm concerened that would be the best win by anyone in the top 5 all year. I tend to think Stanford is a little better and a little more balanced as a team than Clemson, or even LSU for that matter. I think that would pretty much seal Oregon as one of the two playing for the national title. All that said I do think Stanford is slightly better than Oregon and will off the upset

ya, I think Stanford is pretty good....

if they beat Oregon, and a few other unbeatens stub their toes, I could see Stanford with 1 loss looking like a Title contender...

There is a LOT of football to play. In fact, this season, the whole national schedule is heavily back-loaded. All the top 6 or so have very tough games ahead and all of them could realistically stumble.

Seems as worthwhile an effort compared to some the silly ideas I come across that gets passed off as philanthropy...
