And no, we didn't make a return trip to the Smurf Turf. Say what you will about the opponents, but home-and-homes that involve Tempe, Boulder, and Eugene are a lot more attractive to me as a fan than one that involves Boise (although Boise might be able to compete with Stillwater).

I dont think Boise has the facilites that Stillwater has. The Pokes can at least offer a visiting team a real locker room and stuff. LOL!
This whole "poor Boise State" garbage is just PR nonsense. When you break it down by the numbers, Boise is where they deserve to be and where they have EARNEd themselves to be. On the outside looking in while other teams play big boy football.

Ironic that an Oklahoma fan would make this statement

Let's start with your first idiotic paragraph.
Point #1, for your Ignorance Self, Boise State became a member of D1A for the 1996 season. Since that time, EVERY member of the 6 BCS conferences has played more ranked opponents IN conference and in Bowls than they have played out of conference (not just UF). So has EVERY member of the MWC as well as Temple and three members of the WAC INCLUDING BSU!
Point #2, for your Ignorant Self, even after eliminating all of UF's Ranked conference opponents and all of UF ranked Bowl opponents, UF has STILL played TWICE as many ranked OOC NON- Bowl opponents during the aforementioned time frame as BSU!! UF has played 15 ranked NON-Conference NON- Bowl teams compared to only 7 for BSU.
Point #3, for your Ignorant Self, in the time frame 1998-2008 only 2 teams in all of D1A have played MORE D1AA teams than the 17 teams that BSU has played (La-Monroe 23, and Idaho 21). UF has played only 5 D1AA teams.
Point #4, for your Ignorant Self, no matter HOW you dissect the schedules, BSU plays a piss poor schedule! Get over it!!
Fine, BSU has the "right" to schedule good teams HOME AND HOME....they just don't have the ability to do so!!! Just like I have the "right" to play in the NFL but I don't have the ability to do so!!! BSU plays in a sucky conference and is in NO position to demand ANYTHING!! Get over it!!!
Even YOU can't believe that stupid statement!! Orrin Hatch isn't going anywhere with all his bluster and grandstanding!!! Any change in the BCS is going to come about because conferences like the SEC push for it NOT because Orrin Hatch huffs and puffs to satisfy his constituents. Get over it!!
|
The little 20 something communist idiot from Florida cannot even stay on topic. The subject matter is that NO ONE WILL PLAY Boise St. BSU cannot join PAC 10, or any other league any time they want to.
In particular, no major BCS conference team will EVER schedule teams like Boise and TCU HOME AND HOME, because they are all GREEDY, GUTLESS COWARDS, like yourself and your precious, SPINELESS Gator program. And that goes for other gutless programs like Texas, Alabama, Ohio St, Auburn, LSU, and on and on and on.
Until the major BCS programs start playing top nonBCS program and doing so ON THE ROAD at the HOME fields of these programs, they will forever be labeld the GUTLESS, SPINELESS, money grubbing WORMS they are.
Now try and STAY ON POINT, moron.

And the issue is not VPI playing Alabama or Ohio St playing Texas it is Ohio St going ON THE ROAD and playing a team like S. Miss or Houston, or TCU AT S. Miss. Hell even Nebraska played AT S. Miss. And VPI AT ECU. So some do it. But most do not, and the better the nonBCS programs get, the less and less and less the FAT CATS like Texas are willing to play them.
At least the BCS no longer considers SOS in its formula. It gives TCU at least a fighting chance should Texas lose a game now.

Texas has played TCU in Ft. Worth LOTS of times.. with great success..
Maybe, we'll start scheduling them again.. we're not afraid of them... in the slightest.
Zoom... I like much of what you say.. but, I'd suggest you just STOP posting on this thread.... because, your head has been ripped off and put on a platter... and, you don't even seem to know that it happened..
move on.. man.

He just called me a twenty something communist from Florida! He must think I was just a child prodigy when we first started posting together on the old board or he has forgotten that he and I have been sparring for fifteen years. The fact is I am older than he is (at least chronologically, speaking).

Given the current format, what financial/competitive incentive do your "gutless programs" listed above have to play nonBCS teams on the road?
BTW, calling someone an idiot, moron, etc really isn't the best way to win an argument. Even when you use the all powerful CAPS.

I'm just wondering... does UTAH qualify as being a "team like BSU or TCU"??

When Bama, Florida, Texas, Ohio State, SoCal, actually plays one of these little sister schools, the same bunch will be slamming them for NOT playing a top ten team every week in the Out Of Conference Schedule.
