SEC fines Meyer $30,000
Low's coverage here about the fine for criticizing officials.
I really don't care anything about the fine. The only reason I posted this was so I could report a couple of jokes I read somewhere about them.
1. Any truth to the rumor that Meyer said the fine was inadequate and insisted on doubling it?
2. Enlarged reproductions of the check have already been placed in the Florida locker room as motivation for next year's Georgia game.

Maybe they can use the money to send their stupid clowns to ref school.
No doubt, they'll be gettin some more money later this year. You know, Kiffin must be wanting to get a $50k fine!

The SEC should fine itself for allowing these referees to work in that conference. I've never seen such touchy-feely football played in my beloved South before this season.

If Meyer was fined 30K under the new policy for his first offense, I can't wait to see what kind of penalty they give Lane Kiffin when he inevitably opens his mouth again.
This is good...Spikes gets his full game suspension and Meyer gets fined 30K. Now hopefully everyone is happy and we can move on from this drama-filled week and get back to football.
The SEC West Title Game between LSU and Bama is tomorrow...should be a fun game to watch.

Kiffin will get a fine.....but he's paying $10,000 in exchange for gaining some 17 year old high school kid's attention who thinks it would be cool to play for an outspoken coach with attitude. The guy is smart.
