Yankees just sandbagged it. They want to win it at home. Proof that just like college football, you can BUY titles. All you have to do is spend obscene amounts of money.

I think the zillionaires are worried. The Phillies can get to Pettitte ( Wed.) and another 3 day rest 'start' for Sabathia on Thursday, if necessary ??? This thing ain't over. The Phillies posted a better road record than home record this season. It's going to be dramatic. Pedro might get the Wed. night start.

No he and those like him get sucked in by the palatial, ridiculously lavish "facilities", cradle to grave (freshman to senior) academic hand holding, coddling by private, personal tutors, hero worship by hundreds of thousands of fans, alumni, coaches paid combined eight figure compensation packages, and all the bells and whistles and accouterments of a football factory. As say compared to UTEP, UNT, Rice, Houston, SMU. I put the on field accomplishments of a TCU orders of magnitude higher the the "bought and paid for" annual top ten status of a Texas, Ohio St, LSU, Alabama, Florida, USC, etc....

All that crystal trophy is, is an award to a high bidder. Going rate lately about $70,000,000 or so.
