"After leading with the terrible toll of deadly “super-cell” storms with tornadoes which struck Missouri and Alabama on Thursday, CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric's mind turned to global warming as the potential cause. She asked “CBS News weather analyst” Bryan Norcross, working out of the network's Washington bureau: “Bryan, I understand people have been asking you this all day” -- probably CBS News staffers in the DC bureau -- “Does this have anything to do with global warming?”
Not a joke, those quotes are word for word. Katie Couric can't be that stupid, can she? Or is it just another part the left wing platform that she promotes nightly?

There are certain liberal policies that I disagree with, yet can appreciate their point of view. This global warming sham, however, is not one of them. This may be the biggest scam perpetuated on American society since the Beach Boys. Yes, there's global warming. there's always been global warming. there's global cooling as well. Both happened in the past. Both will happen in the future. GLOBAL WARMING IS NOT A "new" phenom. It's likely NOT manmade. But if it is, the earth always has a way of correcting itself. It has in the past, WHEN THERE WAS NO INDUSTRIAL AGE. It will in the future too--REGARDLESS OF WHAT MAN DOES OR DOESN'T DO.
WAKE UP AMERICA, YOU ARE BEING SCAMMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My favorite response to the scientists that question global warming is, "is Exxon Mobile paying you?" Yet, they don't have a problem with govts paying other scientists. As if governments don't have a stake in confiscating wealth via some "environment/global warming" tax.
As an American, I'm embarrassed that this topic is even discussed, let alone dominating the news WHILE WE'RE AT WAR!
Good grief, are we really this stupid?????

It's absurd that a reporter in such a prominent position could make such an idiotic remark.
Tornadoes in the deep south are now caused by Global Warming? Who does she think she is fooling? Are the 18 inches of snow around Minneapolis caused by Global Warming too?
There needs to be a debate on Global Warming, but incredibly dumb statements from people like Couric are eliminating any intelligent form of debate.

The phrase "global warming" is incorrectly associated with isolated human-induced impacts on biodiversity, geology and the atmosphere. No human today has enough information on historical weather patterns on Earth to determine whether any warming or cooling is natural and, if so, to what extent. Anyone believing that we have no impact in an atmosphere that is over 99% enclosed on average is also kidding themselves and believing a myth perpetrated by some of our industrial and political leaders and by those who believe them. I tend to believe that the human impact has increased the variance and unpredictability of whether patterns.

I also think that it is foolish for a layman to claim that they know, with certainty, that humans are not having a negative effect on the atmosphere and air quality.

1st off, I don't think anyone would really disagree that the earth has warmed up or cooled in the past...the part that most people take isssue with is the rate at which its warming...
2nd off, would it really surprise you if Exxon paid scientists to debunk global warming?
3rd - what would affect the largest number of people for the greatest duration - the war in Iraq, or global warming?

Journalists saying dumb remarks? I don't believe it!!
Katie Couric used to be on the today show, where stupidity reigns
This is about as stupid as Al Gore trying to tie Katrina and New Orleans to global warming

I don't know of one who has. I certainly don't claim to know with 100% certainity. But I do know that the earth warms and cools. Always has. Always will.
Telling the world that there's a consensus on man-made GW is a farce. I find it pretty ironic that Al Gore, the man known for the quote "...he played on our fears!!!!" is out trying to scare the shart out of the American public.
1975 it was "the next ice age." Now it's global warming. Again...gimmie break.
PS I can't stand the Beach Boys. ;)

Whether the weather has changed is irrelevant to me. The earth has warmed and cooled for eons. I simply don't care. I will buy whatever is the most economical without ANY regard to its environmental impact. I simply do not care about that, one iota.
