1. Florida just reminded everyone that they are defending national champions. "LSU, SEC champs" does not seem set in stone anymore.

2. For a guy who has twice played USC not to win, but not to be embarrassed, Bill Callahan sure looks silly.

3. Colorado is headed in the right direction, but they lack athletes right now. They looked SSSLLLOOOWWWWW vs FSU. On a side note. How classless are the CU fans? Every crowd shot had a student with middle finger extended and profanity spewing from thier mouths. If they had been molesting children in the stands they would have looked just like an LSU fan...........

4. Ohio State looks to be an overwhelming favorite in an underwhelming Big 10.

5. Texas sure looks to be heading to an execution in the RRR this year. (again). All the signs are there. Out of control players, off field distractions, Mack Brown as Head Coach, struggling to beat level C teams, and an offensive juggernaut OU team. Yep. Gimme OU in this one. BIG!

6. In related news, NEVER, EVER, underestimate a rivalry football game. Iowa State will finish 12th in the BIG 12, but they beat Iowa?! Wow. Whats next?! Okie State beating OU? Auburn actually beating a ranked team?!

7. Auburn is lucky the focus is on how bad the Notre dame offense is. Otherwise they would be taking all the flack. Cox is the WORST five year starter in cfb history. They are PUTRID on offense.

8. all offense and no defense make Louisville a 9-3 team at best. Rutgers chances of winning the Big East look really good right now.

9. BC is for real. I thought GT would control the game and the clock on the ground, but the BC defense is better than advertised and they have an honest to goodness star QB. ACC titel anyone?

10. Alabama is back and heading to the top. Arkansas is still here but heading back to the bottom. Fadden to the NFL this year and Nutt to the un-emploment line soon after.

11. PJ Hill should get some major thanks from his team for single-andedly saving the Wsconsin season against THE CITADEL!?!?!?!?

12. Maybe I am late on this but LET HAWAII DO THE HAKA DANCE!! Let the chief plant a flaming spear at midfield and let the Sooner Schooner roll!! the traditions in cfb are what make it so beautiful. Leave it alone........

13. Oregon seems capable of hanging with USC all of a sudden.............

14. Will the Real Texas A & M please stand up?

15. I cant wait for next week................(in the top 98% of ESPNpick em and leading the Yahoo picks contest right now)

Good post, I agree with most everything. And yeah, Hill did save the Badgers...against The Citadel!! Can you imagine if The Citadel had won, and the B10 was 0-2 vs the Southern conference- not just 0-2, but both teams being top 5 at the time?

Speaking of CU fans- thats Boulder, Colorado man. Liberal haven- can't expect much decency.

Cally played to win this year, and got hammered! Stop hating. The USC OL manhandles a lot of teams the way they did the Huskers last night.

I'd say it will be decided in Atlanta in December.

The SEC East Title could be decided on November 10th, the last game of the SEC Schedule, when Florida plays at South Carolina. Spurrier vs his old school for a berth in the SEC Title Game...that would be fun.

Anything 'Spurrier' = big fun for CF. ....although , I'm disappointed that he wants to challenge the USC admissions office as far as bringing in dummies.
