..okay, like yogi berra said, its deja vu all over again for this LOADED michigan offense..much like 2000 with that powderkeg scoring potential....heisman contenders at rb and qb, a fine 0-line, at least 2 if not 3 eventual nfl wideouts, spearheaded by deep threat supreme mario manningham...plenty of depth at rb...and...lloyd carr and his 0-coordinator mike deBorings' 1965 playbook featuring 20-25 delayed trap rugby scrums to mike hart, tight end screens, passes to the tight end running out of bounds 3 yards downfield on 3rd and 10 and of course lloyd's maddeining philosophy of ..."we dont use our best assets, we paly bo-ball--period."..now, i woke today with memory of the debacle loss to purdue in 2000 with that loaded henson-lead offense...henson was 17-21 with 4 td passes and 220 yards int he first half..michigan lead 28-10...yet lost...32-21...when asked why carr refused to use the devastatignly effective vertical passing attack throughout the second half after scoring on 4 td passes on 4 first half drives with it, he actually said, 'well , we were scoring too fast"...lord, please let this be a new era at michigan where the elite skill position talent is actually put to full, creative use rather than compromised and underutilized by an out of date, utterly predictbale 1965 philosophy of offensive football!!!!...am i to have any hope that lloyd actually uses his talent this year???? or will that 3 yard sideline pass to the tight end on 3rd and 10 yet again define michigan's offensive...ahem....imagination???...
