You heard it here first... Yep. It's gonna happen.

I just returned from a week in Houston...and what I heard and saw has convinced me.

Bill White will be the Democrat candidate. He was the former Mayor of Houston. He's dull and unattractive. But, he was fairly moderate and did a good job as Mayor.

On the Rep side.. it's been a three-way race between Rick Perry (Already Gov for 10 years), Kay Baily Hutchinson.. (One of the biggest of the Big Spending Republicans in Washington) and Debra Medina (the Tea Party candidate).

Glenn Beck's radio show today ENDED the candidacy of Medina. This stupid woman waffled when asked if she was a "9-11 Truther". Unbelievable to me that a candidate for ANY office would not immediately say "HELL NO".... She's toast.

People are tired of Perry after 10 years.... he's actually done an "ok" job... but, he's too slick by half... always has been. True Conservatives will favor Bill White over Kay..

It's been awhile since a Democrat was the Governor of Texas.. but, barring something pretty surprising... I think, it's coming.

Well you guys had LBJ, John Connelly and a couple of Bushes (one who called Reagan's idea "voodoo" economics and another who actually flew one). Being from Houston maybe he has some Voodoo working for him?

Wow, Olbermann and Madcow will go bonkers over that. Of course, unlike how they spun Scott Brown's win as simply anti-incumbent anger, they'll spin and Dem Texas gov win as the Democratic Party righting the ship and taking back their momentum and power.

But, F it, if the Dem is more fiscally conservative than the R, vote him in.

The last Democrat in the State House in Austin got Baylor invited to the Big 12....

I live in Texas - Perry will win and by a fairly sizeable margin in both the primary and general.

Wasn't George W. Bush the last Democratic Governor of Texas?

Yea.. especially when the Republican opponent makes jokes about "relaxing and enjoying it" when talking about Rape.
