Well Don, as long as the bowl season is, most of us will wax and wane here and there. I started out with a good run and got to 10-6. Yesterday was catastophic for me. Even though I went 1-4, the one win I wanted most happened.

I think I have a good chance at recovery with Texas Tech, Oregon, Florida, Alabama, Arkansas, Ole Miss and USF. Close ones will be CMU, Iowa, TCU, South Carolina, LSU and Northwestern.

I think I made the wrong choice by taking Florida State. Possibly even CMU or Mississippi. I expect a split with the lower rung picks and to win out with the higher ones. If I finish 5th I will consider it a successful outing. I think Hen and I have a friendly personal contest going. Surprised he jumped ahead of me. That won't last long. HEAR ME HEN !!!

It has been exciting to play in this shotgun style of bowl predictions. I look forward to participating in your "45" and bowl contest next year. I think it might be best for me to sit back and see how other, more successful, pickers pick before jumping over the edge.

I'm really looking forward to the season long (except bowl games - owned by Hen) contest I will be hosting for 2010.

Yep, my picking Tennessee, Northwestern and Missouri were clearly wrong. Don't really know what I was thinking there. When you think about Ohio State's difficulty with Navy's triple option and the fact that Missouri isn't known for its defense it shouldn't have been hard to figure. I expected more out of Northwestern but then again I seemed to forget how well Auburn played against Alabama. I was thinking Tennessee might put forth an effort similar to their game vs. Alabama. Boy, did I miss that one! The Houston game was a complete surprise to me.
