are you just referring to Div. 1-A?
Boise St. has 13 in a row, Div. 1-AA Appalachian St. at 13. Div. 2 Grand Valley St. has won I believe has two consecutive undefeated championship seasons.

Appalachian St. winning streak is at 14, and it's 23 against I-AA/FCS teams and 27 home winning streak. And after the game at Michigan, our winning streak will be....gone but we'll be $450,000 richer.

I'll tell ya what, Stumpy......if ASU can somehow go up there and pull it off, it would be the absolute highlight of modern CF..in my book. They are going to be so much bigger, faster (maybe) and stronger but ASU has heart and I'd take Jerry Moore over Lloyd Carr any day. We need some friendly and funny bounces..
The next best thing (for me) would be an ASU/UDel post season playoff game....long overdue.

I'd love to see ASU beat Michigan. Is it going to happen? Probably not, but I would agree it would the highlight of the century if they pulled out a win in the big house.
Hen- I don't think there's a maybe when it comes to speed...

yeah, you're right ...no "maybe"

if that happened. And I'll be there, pulling for the Mountaineers, hoping they can win, cussing the biased Big Ten officials. hehe
But in reality, the difference I've always noticed between the top I-A/FBS and I-AA/FCS is size and depth. They lines are larger and the second stringers are as talented and big as the starters on Appalachian. And it shows in the 4th Quarter.
And yes Hen, I'd love to see a playoff, or regular season, game against Delaware. It would be grand.

I would guess that the answer is that Mount Union has the longest winning streak in college football right now.

I'm too lazy to look it up but I think that Mount Union has the two longest winning streaks in college football history. I think that the two streaks were separated by a single loss.

Mount Union won 54 straight from September 14th, 1996 until they lost to Rowan on December 11th,1999. After that they ran of 55 in a row before losing to St. John's in December of 2003.
At least by my count.

It's almost impossible to think that a college football program could win 109 out of 110 games. Regardless of classification, Division I FBS, Division I FCS, Division II, Division III or NAIA, a school that is that dominate must be congratulated. Larry Kehres (the head coach of Mount Union) has, by far, the best winning percentage of any coach in the history of college football.
