So one BCS game is set, Ohio State vs Oregon in the Rose Bowl. After watching the game last night, I like Ohio State's chances...I think they will be able to run the ball against Oregon. I know the Buckeye defense is better than some of the defenses Oregon has faced. I also like that they'll most likely go in to the game as the underdog since Oregon is ranked higher and did beat USC. This should be an entertaining game and one of the best match-ups of the bowl season.

intriguing matchup, which as you said, should be very entertaining. OSU's Defense is better than anything Oregon has seen and Oregon's offense is better than any of the pathetic Big 10 offenses that OSU has seen. Oregon did destroy USC, that why they'll be favored.

This is a very interesting game. IMO its a major launch pad for both programs. With a win, Terrell Pryor could begin his rise from adversity earlier in the season, going into his Jr year with momentum, a Rose Bowl and Big 10 championship. Oregon on the other hand could herald itself as the new USC in the Pac10. Very interesting game. The key to the game I believe will be can Ohio State's defensive secondary play good man coverage vs Oregons WR's? If they can, they can stack the box and shut down the Ducks running game. If not, they'll be in trouble. Oregon D vs OSU O is a tossup.

but will Tressel let him? Biggest question of the game in my opinion.

I gotta tell you, since the Purdue debacle Ohio State rushed for over 200 yards inb their final 5 games and averaged about 225 yds per game. This was accomplished despite the fact there wasn't much of a threat that OSU was going to pass and pretty much everybody in the stadium knew they were going to run. And these were tough, between the tackles runs for the most part. You can say they played inferior competition but 2 of the games were Penn State and Iowa which have pretty strong defenses. They just ran the ball down Penn State's throat in the second half. If Pryor can loosen the defense just a bit (and Ohio State has some good young receivers) Oregon will have their hands full because the Bucks can run the ball. I'd like to see them let Pryor loose running the ball - he actually was the leading rusher on the team and a good portion of his runs were on busted pass plays.

Oregon beat Purdue,Oregon beat USC,OSU lost to both,meaning ??
Oregon will be a 3-4 pt.favorite,if J.T.runs Saine and Herron up the gut consistantly they lose, let T.P. do his thing, pass on first and second down, doubt the 'Ducks' have seen a defense like OSU has, should be a great game.

Ohio State is well able to take it.
I think they will.

I still scratch my head over the USC game.
OSU was the better team. IMHO

totally meaningless.

JT will run the sh!t out of Saine and Herron. No reason not to as Oregon hasn't shown they can stop a good running game. They should mix in some designed running plays for TP- not broken pass plays where TP improvises.

May be a decent game, but it's likely going to have fairly low ratings, as Rose Bowls go.... Simply no national impact or interest at all.
