That is where we would be right now under my desired format. Even the teams that are one win away from clinching still need to win out to gain or protect 2-3 home playoff games. How could this sport possibly be diminished by this? I just don’t get the fans that find more value in what is left in this season or would supposedly be lost by a playoff than what is gained by a playoff.
