There appears to be unified support for Kal as the Number 1 corps led by the duo of Jackson/Hawkins and after watching them for the last couple of years I have to object.
Jackson is an electrifying Kick Returner, but he drops a lot of balls, still not as many as Jordan. This is a very experienced and talented group and experience certainly counts for a few additional separations during each game, but if you gave me my QB with any WR unit in the country, I think that I would have to take Florida's on paper. The experienced Caldwell, the burner in Harvin and waiting for Fayson or Thompson to show there stuff.
The difference right now is that Longshore probably throws a better ball than Tebow which shouldnt weigh into the rankings but I think that it does.
On a sidenote I cant accept that there are 15 better WR groups than the youngsters on the University of Southern California Trojans
Just because players were sitting on the bench last year behind Dwayne Jarrett and Steve Smith doesnt mean that they sucked!!!
Patrick Turner does not appear to be the SUPERSTAR everybody represented when he left Tennessee but he is a very solid 3rd year player who will lead the corps.
Videl Hazelton is a 2nd year player waiting to break out and has been outstanding in practice
Travon Patterson and David Ausberry will battle for the 3rd spot as very different players. Patterson is a small electrifying player who made plays both in practices and late in games last year. Very difficult to cover and offers a YAC everytime he touches the ball. Ausberry at 6'4 215 is a very different target, but impressed week after week last year in practice.
Fred Davis returns as a Senior as one of the nations elite TE's.
I recognize that it is difficult to project practice time above game experience, yet come November I believe that this group will be identified as a Top 10 group.
