It's the fourth player Tressel has offered out of 11 Ohio kids that went elsewhere, which is a little more than he usually gives up. Impossible to keep every kid in a good state, but he usually gets who he wants in state. Last year, UM didn't sign any Ohio players, but they've already got 3 commits from Ohio this year. A few kids just transferred, and 1 or 2 likely will leave early for the NFL, so Tressel will probably offer one more Ohio kid during the 12th hour and make it 8 our 12.

Notre Dame's become as big a thorn, if not bigger, than UM has. Of UMs 3 Ohio kids so far, only one had an OSU offer, while both of NDs Ohio kids did.

Although, on paper, it's looking like it will be Tressel's best out of state recuriting class in his tenure (on paper, of course), so I guess they balance out.
