My roommate brought this question to me today, and I was fascinated by it, the combination of my two favorite topics CFB and politics. And what a discussion it was: Who deserves their hype more, Obama or Tebow?

They are both probably overhyped. They both have something in common: Charisma. Love or hate either, no one can doubt the charisma they both have.

They both took meteoric rises in their fields and achieved almost impossibly hyped status very quickly. Lets put aside partisan hate and BCS hate for a moment to discuss.

Tebow has won 1 Heisman trophy, 2 National Championships, his a devout Christian who volunteers overseas and is waiting til marriage in a time that it is not popular to do so, he is the most unselfish guy in football and he has his current team ranked #1 in the nation and possibly will win a 2nd Heisman and 3rd NC. He's put up insane numbers....but, isn't the prototypical NFL quarterback and is surrounded by a GREAT team to support him.

Obama came from nowhere to upset Clinton and win the Dem nom, then carried the momentum all the way to the White House. He's won a Noble Prize. He awakened millions of people who before had no desire to get involved in voting and brought hope to many people, wether it translates into results or not, it's better than no hope for those people. Yet, he has failed to pass any significant legislation or reform and won his nomination and election through tremendous charisma and speeches.

No comparison

OBama, the peace man, how can he be compared to anyone.
Wars on every hand and he wins a peace prize.
No peace on the horizon and he wins a peace prize.
Obama gets credit for peace by making people hope for peace.
He wins by wishing for victory.

Tebow actually has to put forth work to achieve.

Tebow is disqualified as a result of:
As was mentioned, "his a devout Christian who volunteers overseas and is waiting til marriage". Clearly he is delusional, a white supremacist (going to nations to "administer superior western values" where the people are colored) and is not "hip". Everybody knows a real man is one who gets laid and laid often. The old star QB an cheerleader syndrome. The guy is clearly a total dud by today's cultural standards.
