It's funny..when coaches or whomever knock the 'path' of another school, it's like they're already concieding to the fact that they'll drop a game.
Hey Les!! You have a better team than nearly everyone on your schedule. If you can't beat teams your better than, you won't ever have to worry about playing USC.

I tend to agree with these lines:
We've heard it. We get it. We've put it in bold type across the cover of Sports Illustrated: The SEC is the toughest conference. Florida proved that in the title game. But it's not like the league is indisputably head and shoulders above everyone else.
I believe that the SEC was the best coference last year. I also believe that the SEC has traditionally and historically been the best conference all time. And many 2007 previews such as SI, Phil Steele, Athlon, Lindy's, and The Sporting News predict the SEC to be the best conference for this upcoming 2007 season. But like Mandel noted above, I do NOT think that the SEC is head and shoulders above everyone else. And I don't think that even Les Miles was suggesting this.
You guys surely know how these pre-season booster meetings go. Coaches are playing to their crowd. Spurrier was famous for cracking jokes about FSU and Tennessee when he was talking to the Florida Boosters on these very same summer gatherings. I wouldn't get so riled up over it. He's entitled to his opinion, and is backing up his school and conference. I'm not a huge Les Miles fan, and I actually think he's kind of a goofball, but I see nothing wrong with much of what he said.
