Wishing you all a Happy 4th of July. I'm spending the week here in Mountain Air, NC (outside of Asheville) in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Don't you live around here, Hen? Beautiful area.

Counting down the weeks until kick-off so that we can actually discuss football GAMES instead of these silly typical offseason topics on politics, conference strength, how bad the BCS is, etc.

I live up in Southwestern Virginia, GG.....oh, about 120 miles NE of Asheville. This area is very similar to the beautiful mountains around Ashville, but a little less disturbed and touristy. I have several music friends in that area. Asheville has a great old time music community and several of those fiddlers/pickers were up at a recent party that Mrs. Hen & I put on annually. Those mountains are a good place to be in July, so take some extra big gulps of the Blue Ridge Mountain air and water before you have to head back to the humidity of Florida. Happy 4th back to the GG family.

Well we're actually almost an hour away from Asheville technically. The closest town is Burnsville. We're at 4,000 feet here in Mountain Air. The air is cool and refreshing. It was in the 60's today. Absolutely fantastic. A nice break from what I am used to down in Florida for sure.

Good cool sleeping temperatures throughout most of the summer. Can't beat it. We're about 3500 ft.
GG, Burnsville isn't all that far from Boone , which is only about 75 minutes from our mountain farmstead. Shoot, take a day trip...come on up.

3000 ft just south of Tuscon and it will get to 110 today! Am leaving for Park City Utah next week to escape this heat.

Girlfriend, Great Music, Fireworks, Jersey Shore, Beer and Raw Seafood. Hurricane force winds with light rain. What a day for Hail, who adorned his 1980 'Miracle on Ice' U.S. Hockey Jersey all day. "I'm proud to be an American 'cause at least I know I'm free!"
