I picked mine up this week. Steele is good, but he does waste a lot of space bragging about past predictions, rankings, etc. I did find his playoff proposal to be a good read and basically what I have been predicting to happen: 4 team BCS Playoff with 1v4 and 2v3 in two of the BCS Bowl Games with the winners advancing to the BCS Title Game. He does a good job of explaining it and showing how it would have impacted the last 10 seasons.

Teams like Ohio State '98, Nebraska '99, Miami '00, Oregon '01, USC '03, Auburn '04, and Michigan '06 would have all gotten their shot. Since it would not guarantee nonBCS teams like Utah '04 or Boise State '06 of getting their shot, it's not as good as a real legit 16-team NCAA Playoff, but it would be a great next step and I think there's a chance it could be implemented by the 2010 season.
