Lebron vs Duncan. Parker vs Boobie. Manu vs Varejao. Bowen vs Snow. Gloria vs Eva.

The Cavs are obviously the underdog. It took a loss to the Pistons last year to learn how to beat them this year. My guess is this team is still young enough that they have to lose in the Finals before they win it. Then again, that LeBron guy is pretty good, and he finally has a shooter that seems somewhat consistent.

Anyway, best of luck. Should be a good one.

LeBron better watch out for the leagues dirtiest player, Bruce Bowen.

I hope the refs dont let that guy get away with the crap he was getting away with against the Suns.

Spurs up 1-0

The Cavs make me nervous...but I think the Spurs take the series in 5 or 6

There was some rookie from Univ. of Texas that looked kind of interesting for Cleveland...

The Cavs have brought a bunch of different players though to be LeBrons "Pippen", but none have shown the scoring ability of Boobie Gibson. He can shoot, he can drive, he can hit a multitude of shots in the lane and he's been great at the FT line. Cavs are going to have to clear up some cap space for him.

And I don't see how he doesn't play at least 35 mins a game the rest of the way, even if he doesn't start. Hughes versus Parker when Hughes is 100% would be an interesting matchup. But with his foot hurting, he is no match for Parker. LeBron did a good job of forcing Parker into jumpshots when he was on him, but it takes away alot from his offense.

Even though Duncan will always get his 25 and 10, I think the Cavs are good enough defensively to make the SPurs shoot jumpshots for at least a somewhat extensive period of time. But LeBron has got to figure what the Spurs D is doing.

Despite some obscene shooting by SA, I still think the Cavs can send it back to Sanantonio for a 6th game. But no farther.

Difference between a championship and a non-championship team? If you are down 2 with 20 seconds left, a championship team does not let it's least skilled offensive player (Varejao) drive on an All-NBA first team defender (Duncan). I don't mind not calling a timeout at the beginning of that possesion, because you then give SA a chance to set up their defense. But we can't have Andy taking that shot, especially being guarded by Duncan. Obviously, there is more that separates these two teams right now. But those little things are the lessons the Cavs have to learn.

It's easy to tell which team is gunning for a 4th title and which team is just happy to be there. You hate to lose, but SA is just the better team right now. The Cavs will learn and won't make the same mistakes next time they're in the Finals.

I don't think Varejao was ready for a pass from James...he probably thought James would just try and drive to the basket
