Here we go .....another great NCAA sports championship begins this weekend.
If college baseball used an idiotic 'BCS' type system, Rice and Clemson would've been 'VOTED' directly to the championship game in 06.....but, fortunately, in NCAA sports championships, the kids are allowed to play...and Oregon State won the national title - ON THE FIELD !!!!...no opinions or voters necessary. YA GOTTA LET 'EM PLAY !!
Hail to the Victors Valiant

And Michigan would never have had the chance to defeat #1 overall seeded Vanderbilt this year. Congrats to the Wolverines and good luck to them in the Super Regionals.

The CWS is set and starts June 15. And it looks like it's an East vs. West brackets. In one double elimination bracket you hve Rice, Louisville, N. Carolina and Miss. St. In the other you have UC-Irvine, Ariz. St., Oregon St. and Cal St. Fullerton. And for what it's worth, you have last years two finalist in the CWS again in N. Carolina and Oregon St.
Should be a good series of games. Always is.
BTW, GO HEELS!!!

Yes I am. A group of friends and myself are gonna spend the long Labor day weekend in Mich and watch the Mighty Mountaineers take there 14 game win streak (longest in Div. I I think) and come away with $450,000. I hope it's a good weekend, football and gambling, what could be better. LOL

It's a replay from last year. N. Carolina vs. Oregon State in the CWS Finals. It was also the same 3 teams wear the last ones left last year too.
It should be a good series again.
GO HEELS!

And yet, the whole thing ended with barely a whisper about it. Hardly anybody cares about College Baseball, while College Football rules the roost.

Wow. I just saw where Oregon State went 10-14 in conference and now won the conference title. Another example of why football has it right. Thanks, Hen.

Oregon State's conference record may be a justifiable criticism but how does that show that college football has it "right"? College football allows no team to control its destiny, cheats fans and players of 53 schools by virtually eliminating them outright, encourages non-competitive OOC schedules, and arbitrarily determines two teams for a title game in a manner no more valid than flipping a coin. Even without adding a playoff, this sport could be so much better.

That is something that raises a legitimate question, for sure. Should winning a conference tournament excuse an , otherwise, average conference season ?
Regardless...........playing is always better than voting.
