BYU athletic director Tom Holmoe told reporters Wednesday that he is close to finalizing BYU's 2009 schedule. Things are getting very close to this matchup taking place on opening day. OU is already hosting Tulsa and traveling to Miami. Three bowl teams for a 2009 OOC thus far. Only one in Norman. Kind of gutsy if I do say so myself.

Saturday night in Atlanta is confirmed and I think ESPN announced that the Game Day crew will be present. 2 nice first weekend matchups.

Also, no truth to the rumor that Mich is trying to schedule App St for their opener now that Edwards is leaving with the Walter Payton Award.
