What a heck of a story, but I'm not surprised of his decisision making. Derek was a couple of years younger than me when we both attended UALR (University of Arkansas Little Rock). It is ef'ing crazy that Nolan Richardson didn't recruit him to play for the Razorbacks.
That being said, this story says it all about Derek Fisher as a Christian, person, professional athlete, and the character he carries himself with..... It's awesome to have met and talked to him, and his family definitely has my prayers for their current battle with their baby girl's (Tatum) eye cancer.
