A good article discussing how ridiculous it is that the COACHES Poll is involved in the BCS. I mean polls themselves stink, but is there anything more ridiculous than having them run by coaches of teams, conferences, etc that might have a vested interest in the results? The Big 12 South Championship might be decided by a Big 12 coach who hates Mack Brown voting Oklahoma #1 and Texas #25 next week? Crazy.
At the very least, if polls must be part of the equation, they should do away with the Coaches Poll. Just let the Harris Poll and the computers be 50/50. Actually, if I had to choose one poll to respect the most, it would be the AP Poll...but they decided to pull out and not participate (good for them) in the BCS. So I say either 100% computers, or one easy to follow objective system...as CJ has suggested for years. Get the subjectivity out of the equation.
