on 11 occcasions in november, acc teams ranked in the top 25 on saturday morning before kickoff have taken the field with that ranking and played in the month of november . question: how many of these 11 game have these various ranked acc teams won this month????

I would say ZERO. A top 25 ranking for an ACC team is the Kiss of Death.

..thats almost right stew---its 1 win and 10 losses for various top 25 acc teams in november..everytime an acc team cracks the top 25- none will crack the top 10 come january's final polls - they have lost 10/11 times in their next game this past month. you dont get a much more telling than that conference stat. its like a bunch of c-plus club fighters if this were boxing taking turns beating each other in dull 6 round decisions at the local armory...the only thing missing is the cigar smoke and the ring girl you'd like to....

..yet the worst ACC team ( 1-6 Duke) is still better than the 3rd place SEC East team. Also, the 5th place ACC Atlantic team is still better than the 2nd place SEC West team.

Why is it mediocre when the ACC teams keep beating each other, keeping them out of CCG and the polls, while the SEC last year and the Big 12 this year are doing the same thing, yet that's what makes them great and tough

SEC isn't losing to the triple option....

So I guess Miss. St. is not in the SEC, since they lost to Ga. Tech and the triple option.

...when was the last time a bcs conference did not have 1 team finish in the top 20???..when the dust settles here in the acc football season, all i can say is : thank god its basketball season...

because stew- oklahoma st, texas tech, texas, oklahoma and missouri would ALL be undefeated in-conference if they played in the acc this year...

Its perception...people are still living off of last year

The ACC stunk last year, and still hasn't produced a good solid top ranked team, but I'd grade these teams with Bs...

Would they? possibly Texas and OU

but you really like Texas Tech's chances of going to Tallahassee or Blacksburg on a thursday night game? you think Mizzou or Okie State wouldn't have some problems with Wake Forest or Georgia Tech?

The ACC has gotten alot better, its just that they don't have a top team in the spotlight, so no one has noticed

SEC isn't losing to the triple option....

As pointed out, Mississippi State is in the SEC and lost to Georgia Tech, and UGA is next. :)

Mississippi State is in the bottom two of the SEC.

I'll let the three games this week do the talking.

Coach, I'd say if you put those 5 in any conference they'd probally be undefeated in conference play. They are 5 of the better teams nationally and are playing good ball. And they are what is making the Big 12 a good, if not the best conference this year. But if you look at the records of ACC teams, you'll see that a number of the teams have only lost in conference and every game is unpredictable on the outcome/

I'm with you until you bring up Mizzou...

Here's another trivia question...who's the coach for Missouri?

IMO, Missouri got lucky and got a good QB out of Texas...the rest of the team, including the coaching, looks pretty bland to me...
