Wow. 5 year deal at 1.8 per, so I guess he's serious about it.

...gonna be an incredibly steep and daunting climb for the geezer at Kst...you are playing and recruiting against a parade of excelent coaches out there with national recruiting reach and high-octane offensive schemes all in s toops, mack the lexus salesman, apparently gundy and if he sticks around, leach. add in mangino and pinkel of recent...and dont count hawkins as a flop yet... snyder will be regretting this decision this. circa nov., 2010..

Snyder doesn't actually recruit against anybody. He mostly built his strong KSU teams with ultra dumb JUCOS. I suspect he'll do the same again.

And scheduling two Div IAA teams and two bottom feeding Sun Belt teams.

Right...forgot about that half of the formula.

don't discount what he did, though. he may have scheduled cream puffs in OOC, but he did win a lot of games at KSU, a program that was the worst ever.
He probably won't be the coach in 5 years, more like the guy who oversees and revitilizes the program and hiring of a new, younger coach.

Kind of like Kansas and Texas Tech...but honestly, how can you blame programs like a Kansas or Tex Tech for doing that?

You gotta start somewhere...look at Tyrone Willingham at Washington, the Huskies had an incredibly hard OOC every year, and they got beat down every year...

schedule easy and get recruiting up isn't a bad formula for schools that aren't traditional powerhouses...you gotta have some sort of foundation before you challenge the elite
