63 eligible teams plus 19 that still can become eligible.

Still waiting for the year where we have more slots than eilgible teams. The NCAA does not have a rule in place if there are not enough .500+ teams to fill the available bowl slots.

Why not scrap 'bowl eligibility' and let everybody go to a post season exhibition game ? Have 60 of these things instead of 34. Those kids on losing teams work hard also and and are worthy of a mid-winter vacation trip. Heck, you already have 3-5(.375) conference teams going to these events.

Personally bowl games such as the Motor City, the St. Petersburg, the Poinsettia (sp?), Ft. Worth, the one in DC that always matches a military academy with someone else ought to go. And that is just those I can recall on the fly here. I'd say if you can't get at least a 7-5 record then get back into the classroom.
