...I AGREE... and the side benefit is that this simple- some might say stolen- but simply great , great fight song will be booming across america in bars in boston, dens in denver, vfw's in peoria and everywhere!..the excitement and liekly viewership over this game tonight exemplifies college footballs skyrocketing growth in popularity among under 25's and more casual football fans...college football delivers EVERY WEEKEND!...THE NFL? ...its dull, homogenized football- with shrill hype rarely matching the quality of play on the field and hit and miss for exciting games...mostly misses...

Alabama
Texas Tech - plays at Oklahoma
Texas - taking the week off
Florida - will crush the Citadel like the MOngols did Baghdad in 1258.
OKlahoma - hosts #2 Texas Tech tonight

Texas went from #5 to #1 by beating Oklahoma so it seems only natural that Oklahoma would jump to #2 by beating #2 Texas Tech. In all the polls Oklahoma is ahead of Texas in two. Texas takes the week off and Florida has a game far less intensive as practicing against the "walk on" pretend-opponent during weekday practice.

Alabama
Oklahoma
Texas
Florida
Utah - if they beat BYU
Texas Tech and USC

Tide beats Auburn, Texas pounds A&M by 31, Florida beats FSU by 20. All teams primed to advance. If OU beats OSU by 7 or less then Texas might challenge in BCS point system. After the regular season ends.

Alabama
Oklahoma or Texas
Texas or Oklahoma
Florida
USC - by crushing Notre Dame, 38-10
Texas Tech - crush Baylor, 55-20
Utah - drop one even though unbeaten
Texas

Florida's chance will come if they beat Alabama in the SEC title game. Oklahoma beatss 10-2 Missouri, 37-24. Gators beat Alabama, 30-24.

Oklahoma
Florida
Texas
Alabama
USC - crushes UCLA, 48-14
Texas Tech
Utah

So, is this how it will play out with Oklahoma once, as with 2000, being the home team in Florida against a team from Florida?

I would love to play our former Defensive Coordinator (Bob Stoops) and his Oklahoma Sooners on January 8th...that would be a fun game.

...over and over and over..it was jsut great!...i lost count at 15 in the second qtr of how many boomer sooner refrains tghere were...rivals tennessees 45 rocky tops during a game...just grand!...and OU fans were so louid during the first qtr i think the pianed loook on leachs face thatt "he wasnt in lubbock anymore" was due to a migraine!...leach was babbling about execution and failign to do the little things...the execution that was actually occurring was a complete destruction of his high tech football machine...42 points at the ghalf!...oklahoma just being oklahoma..they shouldnt be denied a title shot if they win in stillwater next week after that obliteration of waht is still a very good tex tech squad...as much as ilike florida, beating s. carolina, citadel and ky. is not akin to beating #2 by 44 points...

The only way the SEC Champion doesn't win is if the SEC Champion has a rematch with the SEC Championship Game loser.

Otherwise it will be a blow out.

I know it isn't what everyone wants, but SEC vs SEC is the only true BCS Title game. If the intention is truly to get the best two teams in the nation, then Alabama vs Florida twice is the only way to settle it. Anything else is just being 'fair'.
