Rather sobering. Looks like we're the Roman Empire circa late 4th century.

Ah, but that was before the new messiah. There will be no more poverty in 4 years. The U.S. will be energy independent, without drilling for oil or natural gas, without mining coal and without new nuclear energy plants. The new messiah will meet with the world's worst tyrants, without preconditions, and if they don't do what they are told, he will complain to the U.N.!
Now, we have hope for a better future. Plus, even a few more catchy slogans.

I throw myself at the feet of my elected savior - the Holy Messiah. The Annointed One. How dare I enage in such heresy !!! I should be burned at the stake !!!

As I had expected, Obama's job creation plan includes making improvements in our bridges, roads and school structures and advancements in green technologies. He predicts 2.5 millions new jobs will be created as a result which is feasible.
However, we may have lost many more jobs than that and without the real ability to raise taxes, borrowing or printing money might be the only options, neither of which I like. Govt spending would increase and not decrease but what better choices do we have unless we make almost every American fight in a way somewhere. With the fed reserve employee joining Obama's Cabinet, printing money is doable.
Our infrastructure could use some improvements and privatizing infrastructure development would raise toll prices.

Since even cheap gasoline requires cash ... from employees laid off (a multitude for good) as they drive the short distance to a Wal*Mart to fight over cans of tuna, cat food and bags of dry beans and rice.

I'm just amused on a daily basis at the silence of the Obama Inc.
I mean seriously, Iran and Russia threatened us. Al Qaida uses racial slurs to mock him. And the most he can talk about is a football playoff? The economy is tanking, even further, and he is silent..........yet finds time to pick an Attorney General who fought to pardon domestic terrorists.
Hmm. Funny, domestic terrorists sure are popular guys to the Obama Inc.

Public works, as job creation tools, have NEVER worked. They are short term, temp fixes as Rosevelt found out in the 1930's. Once the budget is spent on public works the jobs go away and the net gain in jobs is merely pulling resources from the private sector either via extra taxes or literally pulling workers away from private sector jobs.
The only real way to create jobs is spur business activity. Get banks lending, get people feeling better about themselves.

uh, you do know he's not officially president until he's sworn in? And you do know that campaigning is physically and mentally exhausting, right? Hillary looks like she's aged 5 years
