Not that it is that big of deal, but I'm always amazed by the things people don't know which seem impossible to not know. I'm sure there are things I don't know that would surprise others. That said, has McNabb never seen the standings and wondered what that that row of zeros was for? Has he never read late season playoff scenarios that include what happens if a team ties? Did he not hear about the previous tie that occurred while he was in the league?

Here’s what I find odd. McNabb mentioned he didn’t know what would happen if that same scenario played out in the playoffs. The funny thing is during the 2003-4 playoffs, the Carolina Panthers defeated the St. Louis Rams in double OT and with the winner playing the McNabb lead Eagles for the NFC Championship the very next week. To me it would seem something like that would stick with a player after breaking down film and whatnot. I don’t know, baffling.

A couple other examples are the many college football fans that still do not know that only two teams from the same conference can play in the BCS or the conferences need 12 teams to have a CCG. Still others that do not understand that I-AA/FCS is not D2.

True story. Much ignorance. FCS is NCAA Division 1
