Hen, I must say I'm growing tired of the SAC. All the "academics are more important than football" talk is just played out. We all know academics do and should play second fiddle (no pun intended) to football. So, I'm going to create the arch nemesis of the SAC, the NAC, known as the No Academics Conference. This is a collection of schools that have the greatest combination of athletic success and absolutely no academic standards.

The initial applicants for the NAC:

LSU
Florida State
Miami
Southern Cal
Oklahoma
Ohio State (AIDs Awareness to keep Big Kat eligible?)

These are just a few. Some may not deserve to be in the NAC. I'm open to anyone's suggestions for the NAC conference. Remember: If the school's academics are too good, or the football too bad, that may disqualify them. Please provide examples for consideration, such as national or conference championships, as well as academic abominations such as Oklahoma's late 90's graduation rate of about 8%, or Big Kat staying eligible at Ohio State through rigorous "AIDS Awareness" classes. Southern Cal's Matt Leinhart staying eligible through "Ballroom Dancing" is another fine qualification for the type of academic de-emphasization and football glory that I am looking for.

I'd include Clemson as part of the NAC. It's obvious ANYONE can get into that school.

B90, here are the bottom 10 team average SAT scores from back in 1998 when I established the the SAC. These CF programs are definitely NAC quality :

E Carolina (860.8)
Fresno St. (868.3)
Arkansas ( 870.2)
Louisville (872.0)
La-Monroe (873.5)
Tennessee (879.0)
Va Tech (881.0)
Marshall (885.9)
La Tech (888.39)
LSU (889.0)

11th dumbest was Florida (892.7)

The NAC - very clever !
