I am a Vandal fan (University of Idaho, for those that think the NCAA only has 2 conferences, SEC/Big 10).

Shouldn't you be VandalBacker rather than VandalBasher?

Just to let the board know I'm back from my long work hours as an accountant.
And as for my team, first and foremost is my alma mater, Appalachian State in Boone, NC, the current Div. I FCS champion and last Div. I-AA Champion (BACK TO BACK)
And as a child I pulled for the N. Carolina Tar Heels and still do.

You would be correct if my last name was Backer. So I will stick with VandalBasher.

Appalachian State has a great stadium -- very picturesque setting. I miss the Marshall-Appy games.

So do I. It was a great rivalry and always seem to be tough games. And Marshall would bring a lot of fans to Kidd Brewer Stadium. I wished they'd stayed in the SoCon.

hhhhmmmmm...really? I've been there many times. The seating is really too cramped and the rest room facilities are poor.

I always thought that 'FIGHT"N SPUDS' would be a better sports team nickname than Vandals for Idaho.

Northern Idaho is not really potato country. The Southern (BSU) and the Eastern (ISU) parts of state are where the best potatoes come from. Oregon actually out produces Idaho, as a state, with the total volume for spuds.
Northern Idaho is filled with beautiful forest and mountains. The University is only 8 miles away from Washington State U. This makes for a lot of fun to have some 30,000 students without supervision. These are 2 COLLEGE TOWNS all in one. Take a look sometime.
