Oden leaving. Conley and Cook testing the water (pretty much gone too).

Can't really blame Oden for leaving. Conley stated he was going to come back 100%. Now his father says 'things changed' and that his draft status is higher than expected. Too soon for Cook, he needs another yr or two.

Cook would never have gone to college if they hadn't changed the eligibility rule. He will be a first round pick, possibly as high as 15.

you could make the same argument about all 3.
I doubt Cook will be as high as 15. he wasn't THAT great. He was in Matta's sh!thouse more often than not.

I truly believe Conley had every intention of returning until he found out that he may be a lottery pick. Cook on the other hand will not be top 15 and in my opinion he is questionable to whether he gets drafted. After december he lost his shot and from what I saw he did not bring much else in terms of defense, rebounding and other intangibles outside of shooting. On the other hand Lighty took full advantage of being a role player and had much more impact on this past year than Cook.

The NFL draft requires players to have a decent amount of polish to go high. The NBA is much more interested on raw ability, polished or not. DeSagana Diop was lottery pick. Heck, Marvin Williams went top 5 and didnt start either.

Cook has too much raw ability not to get drafted.
