82 is a lot. I wonder if he's in line for the Penn State job when someone declares JoePa legally dead?

I wondered where the 82 came from too. That seems like a lot.
Other than the dropping of a couple of scholarship from otherwise qualified players (I think he blamed it on admissions, but the whole situation seemed pretty underhanded to me), I always respected Spurrier. I haven't heard that many bad things about the USC program. From the article linked, it does seem that the QB in question should've burned his final bridge by now. I was wondering if there was some big event that I missed because 82 "incidents" doesn't seem right. I'll have to look up that Fullmer cup site I guess...

find no references to it except on blogs which of course immediately raises red flags in my mind.
For whatever it's worth, my impressions of Spurrier are that he doesn't put up with that stuff for long. I remember in 1997 UF was defending MNC and ranked #1 when Doug Johnson decided to miss curfew and stay out at a bar before the LSU game (underage drinking??). Johnson wasn't "caught" but when Spurrier found out he benched him for the first quarter/half of the game. When Johnson did get in he played like crap and UF lost the game. Later that year he threw the pass that sank #1 FSU in the last agem of the season. That LSU episode was just a preview of Johnson career.

to the concept of student athlete...which states, once they get into u. Md. to play hoops, they are ballplayers. period. hence, williams has not 1 kid graduate in the last decade from his program within 6 years of enrollment. the hoops overall div. I gradaution ra te is 46% within 6 years ( about 1/2)...williams response to this: "they make more money playing basketball in europe in their 20's than they'
d make in any regular job; so who should care"..as if being enrolled as students while playing ball for him was for 4 years was some kind of obligatory nuiscance.......

Gary Williams is a prick, but at least he's honest. You think other coaches out there don't feel the same way? Coaching a bunch of hoopsters who can't put two cohesive sentences together masquerading as students...
There aren't many Bob Knights out there, who actually do believe in the student/athlete concept.

I think everyone gets my point. Your first "65 offenses" can be reduced down to at most 27 offenses.

I'm actually a closet Clemson fan after my trip to Death Valley last November. They are now my 2nd favorite team, if I had to have one. However a lot of that list was a reach at best. Funny stuff.

types of lists one finds on fan blog/websites. That's why I hardly ever bother going to those sites - not worth the time. I prefer sites such as this one instead of "Gator" sites.
