I like the traditional look. I'm not into some of the recent designs that have come out, especially as those of Oregon; some of their looks are ridiculous. I also don't like it when teams wear the same color pants as jerseys...some of the worst I have seen:

Minnesota wore all gold with maroon trim this past fall - burned my retinas.

Clemson all orange.

Syracuse all orange - especially their latest designs.

Kentucky all blue.

Do I recall Florida doing all blue?..bad.

San Diego State has worn some bad uniforms.

Don't really like Georgia's black jerseys.

Wisconsin all red.

Northwestern all purple (and even when they wear the black pants.)

I'm sure there are others.

Clemson all Orange isn't nearly as bad as when they wear Purple jerseys...ugh

Its like Zoombag said, some color should just be trim, like the purple in Clemson's colors

IMO, when it comes to uniforms...you wanna wear the look that your team has been the most successful with...

Penn State has very drab and basic uniforms, but if they added on a logo to the helmet, it wouldn't be the same...

AFA is officially silver and blue but for the most part substitute white for silver. They've tried, on occassion, to go with either silver pants or silver jerseys but it just doesn't work at all....

I love when the Hokies come out in all maroon.

They came out in all orange once. It was a disaster, on the field and aesthetically. Frank has said they will never do that again as long as he is coach of VT?

Air Force has some of the coolest uniforms in college football IMO...they need to put the stripes back on the helmets though

I agree, most times the same top and bottom is very ugly. Especially the cliche and VERY VERY WORN OUT all black look.

Clemson's all orange is actually a tradition. The orange pants are supposedly only broken out for major games by tradition. Bowden has kinda trampled on that, but the all orange is a long tradition, not a fad by any means. Although it is still kinda ugly.

Some teams look good with solid color though. Penn State's all white look is awesome. VT's all maroon. Well, actually, the all white look isn't technically the same idea.

But I agree, in general, same top and bottom is ugly.
