This is great. This guy has been well loved and respected everywhere he's coached.........and he's coached at some classy places..AFA, NAVY, VMI. WM & MARY etc. From what I've read , he's a real players coach and tries to have fun in these games. I really like HC promotions from within coaching staffs more than all this HC free agent hiring. I hope he's successful at WVU.

Agreed Hen. Hiring from within is by far the best way to go. It improves so many factors in stability of a program. The players know that even if their head coach leaves, all the assistants will likely stay and one become head coach. I think hiring from within happens a lot more in 1-AA, where money and new coach name recognition for alumni is not as important. But then again, everything in 1-AA is a bit more perfect than 1-A.
