Just got back from Atlanta last night. What a trip to the Final Four. In just 364 days, I saw the Gators win the 2006 Basketball title, 2006 Football title, and 2007 Basketball title...in person. A National Championship Sandwich! I am still in shock as to what just happened. UF is the only school to win both sports in the same school year, calendar year, and the first to hold multiple titles (2 in each) in both sports unanimously (Michigan State has two football titles, but both were shared.) It truly is a great time to be a Florida Gator!

Congrats to OSU on a great season. You had a great team that never quit. Every time OSU cut our lead to 6-7 points, we would somehow answer with a huge three pointer. You simply ran into a great team with players who gave up millions to return to go Back to Back. They were NOT going to lose that game. This OSU team reminds me of Florida's 2000 team which featured several young stars and went to the National Title Game where they lost to a very experienced and talented Michigan State team. It set the tone for Billy Donovan's program which ultimately brought us to the last two fantastic seasons. OSU has nothing to be ashamed of. If Oden comes back, they will be a favorite to return to the Final Four. They'll be an Elite 8 or Sweet 16 team without him.

It will be an interesting next few weeks. Billy Donovan has to decide whether to go to the NBA, Kentucky, or stay at Florida. His #1 Asst Coach Donnie Jones is a leading candidate for the Marshall job. All of our starters plus our 6th man are either seniors or juniors who could go pro one year early. This team could all basically return 90% intact and be pre-season #1 again, or it could be the end of an era in Gainesville. Either way, it's been quite a ride.

congrats. UF is on a roll, Enjoy it. I think Billy D. should stay. The Kentucky job is thankless and he shouldn't follow his mentor, Rick Pitino, and fly off to the NBA. (Pitino did it twice, and for the most part, failed both times) I met Jeremy Foley a couple of yrs ago, this guy has got to be the hottest AD anywhere. You think Urban Meyer has any regrets about not going to Notre Dame...??
OSU never quit, but once they got behind by 6 or 7, they couldn't get enough momentum. Three pointers were the difference: UF hit 'em, OSU didn't. I also though this OSU team was similar to UF's 2000 team that lost a more experienced MSU.
Its been a bittersweet year for Ohio State. Most schools would relish in playing for a football and basketball championship in the same yr. Tressel and Matta are great coaches, they'll be back. (Hopefully, Oden will be too)
