Very proud of Timmy...first sophomore to ever win the award and represents all that is right about college football. Not even done with his sophomore season yet, and the kid already has a National Championship Ring, SEC Championship Ring, Heisman Trophy, and holds several SEC & NCAA records.

Congrats. He does seem like a very likable guy.

Clearly very deserving of the award.

I think he stays for all 4 years too! He's probably gonna get picked apart by paranoid NFL scouts, and I'd like to see him stay all 4 years! He's a great passer, but because he's a great runner I think people forget how good he can pass.

Well, he won the Heisman, so I guess they didn't forget that much!!!!

I figured you really couldn't go wrong with either Tebow or D-Mac. But I figured it would be just way to hard to overlook the 29/22 stat that T-bone gave us. I can't really complain about the pick.

Figures that in the most controversial year of CF since I can probably remember that we would have a pretty uncontroversial Heisman winner. 2007 has been one wild ride.

Cannot complain about this one too much. He simply had a season to match the hype even if his team wasn't a player in the MNC hunt.

The Heisman Award in this day in age is meaningless. Everyone and their mom has a vote. A bunch of space cadets that don't watch the games is what you have as voters. That boy from Oregon or DMac were more outstanding IMO....

If Tebow ever guides Florida to that SEC & MNC Championship as a starter, all of the praises given to him will be legit & genuine...

The Heisman Award in this day in age is meaningless.

Meaningless? Tell that to the four fine young men who were in New York last weekend representing college football as well as all of the other past winners.

Everyone and their mom has a vote. A bunch of space cadets that don't watch the games is what you have as voters.

How do you know that they don't watch games?

That boy from Oregon or DMac were more outstanding IMO

How so? How were they more outstanding? What did they do that Tebow didn't?

If Tebow ever guides Florida to that SEC & MNC Championship as a starter, all of the praises given to him will be legit & genuine.

So all other past Heisman winners that never won a championship were not legit? Should only a player from LSU and Ohio State be eligible to win the award since those are the teams playing for the MNC? Nevermind that Tebow DOES have an SEC & MNC Ring and played a huge role in Florida winning the SEC and BCS Titles last season. Without him, they don't win. Go back and review some of the plays he made against Tennessee, LSU, Ohio State, etc.

ok, take a few deep breaths GG, and maybe a chill pill :) I think the only legit statement that Bosstalker made was about Dixon. I have to agree that until he got hurt, he was the frontrunner. Oregon was just playing at a higher level than UF. Tebow deserved it over McFadden. He was hit or miss this year. He his two big games were SC and LSU in the SECCG. He had a few pedestrian games as well.

Jeff, how many Heisman voters do you think were awake in the midnight hour when Reggie Bush ran for a billion yards against Fresno State? That game sealed the deal for Bush due to the highlights on ESPN that next morning. Most voters probably didn't know that Fresno State's run defense was ranked at the bottom. All most voters had to go on were the highlights of those fantastic runs against a poor defense. Do you really think that all voters were awake to watch all of those late Hawaii games?

  Maybe my opinion is biased due to VY not winning...maybe I'm just hating and full of hater-aide....

Of course Dixon would have made a fine candidate had he not gotten hurt and Oregon was in the BCS Title Game. Unfortunately, he did get hurt and didn't finish the season and Oregon tanked. It stinks, but Dixon wasn't more qualified based on full season results...he didn't finish the season. Not his fault, but just the way it is. Otherwise, Adrian Peterson should have won a Heisman despite injury since many thought he was the best player. You can't vote based on what you THINK would have happened if injuries did not happen. You have to vote on what DID happen...reality.
