As predicted, LSU beat a very average team that gave them free touchdowns, which was enough to leapfrog 5 spots in the poll.

I'd much rather see the entire BCS abandoned and let the bowls go back to what they were, then to watch such an absurd manipulation of results.

Florida leapfrogging Michigan last year was borderline. LSU jumping 4 different teams is a complete sham.

But, then again, this comes as no surprise.

Wow. Like I said, in any other year, I'd be joyous at seeing an SEC team in. But not this year. This just isn't right. All of the top 10 teams deserve a chance at this. LSU deserves it as much, no more no less, as OU, VT, UGA, OSU, UK, Mizzou, WVU, USC, UH. This just isn't right. I'll enjoy watching the games, but this is a crime.

Why is that a sham? Why can't a team's win jump them over teams that were idle? Who else should be in based on your preferred standard?

The didn't just jump idle teams. They jumped teams that won their conferences...and won them more convincingly.

Oklahoma easily beat the #1 team. Now, even according to your theory of "adding to the resume', that's got to be better than LSU squeaking out a win against an average Tennessee team.

Of course the AP has nothing to do with the BCS, but LSU damn near jumped Ohio State in the AP poll, despite Ohio State having a 50-11 first place vote lead.

There are a few AP pollsters who refuse to put Ohio State in the top 10 this year.

I think this shows why polls are a sham. I don't think LSU should have been behind Oklahoma to begin with and they only were because of the timing of their last loss. I'm guessing that LSU never trailed all those teams in the "computers".

How big is the Danny Ainge INT for 6 late in the game now?
