View Full Version : Bucky, few questions about team dynamics

You have stated you think the idea of "team dynamics" is for fools and doesn't exist.
Well then, how about a few questions about that.
The Colorado Rockies tearing through their final 30 games and ripping through the playoffs, until collapsing against Boston?
The collapse of programs like USF, South Carolina, Kentucky, after being highly ranked and suffering devastating losses?
Teams like the Spurs or Pistons or Patriots basically banning selfishness and winning championships, while teams with massive egoes and payrolls, like the Yankees, not winning them?
Explain the Patriots on-field reaction to the cheating scandal?
Explain any team's post-superstar success? Or the King of the Hill syndrome that the Cleveland Cavs and LA Lakers are going through now? Explain why some teams suffer post-championship collapse, the Tampa Bucs, and some teams do not- the Patriots?
Once you fail to explain any of these with anything other than explanations defined by team dynamics, then I have one spectacular example for you.

You called Oregon an unbeatable team just a few weeks after they lost at home. The very next time they took the field they lost to 4-6 football team. Be a man and admit that you were wrong. Stop using the team dynamics vodoo.
Look at the extent that you are going to defend yourself. Never underestimate the power of denial.

..can be traced to two very tangible things...1. they had to playe two superior football teams in a row in lsu and florida...gamely battling both hard...going 1-1- and then:
2. as a result of these two extremely demanding and phsyical contests...played a hot miss st. team with 2/3 recievers hurt , s everal defensive starters hurt and the tailback situation so depleted that they had to use the FIFTH STRING TB IN THE SECOND HALF VS MISS ST!...
they rebounded well enuf to beat vandy and now face two more bigboys to finish VS. athletically superior, deeper georgia and similar tennessee...there will be NO MYSTERY to going from 6-1 to a 7-5 or if fortunate 8-4 finish for the wildcats at all...brutal schedule sequence ( ranked #1 nationally in august in difficulty by this site) and major injuries and a vewry average defense going against excellent speed and talent in the sec gauntlet...i cant explain usf fading badly but UK's fade is EVIDENT and does not alter the fact that its been a thrilling, dare i say wonderful season for UK football...

Bucky, your cowardice is almost admirable. Was I wrong about Oregon? Well, you can't prove I was. I said THAT day they could be anyone, and I didn't think any team in the country could beat them.
Dixon got hurt. It devastated their team. With Dixon, Oregon was rolling well vs Arizon. It happened. Injuries happened. Did I say Oregon would win the National Championship? No. I said basically had they played ANY team on the day after they played Arizona St, no one could beat them. Had someone asked me if I thought Oregon could beat anyone WITHOUT Dixon- my answer would be quite different. I would say the same is true about 2005 Texas with Vince Young, 1995 Nebraska with Tommy Frazier, or the New England Patriots with Tom Brady.
But, your juvenile mind has caught a limb to hang on and you won't dare let go, not even to answer the questions I asked you. You see that the injury to Dixon greatly affected Oregon, they lost the game as a result, and now you reach back to find where I said Oregon could beat any team and you are holding on to that with all your might. And it's fine.
You know why it's OK? Because I have the ability to defend what I said, debate it, and provide examples.
YOU, however, cannot. You cannot answer the questions I asked you. Your ability to debate is nonexistent. Your youth and your juvenile mind shows. "The power of denial"? I've denied nothing. I still stick to what I said. The day after Oregon beat Arizona State, their team could have beat anyone. Without Dixon, that opinion changes. It's an injury. Once again, one of many factors involved in team dynamics- how a team reacts to adversity.
So how about it? Without using any points of team dynamics, explain the questions I posed you? I manned up and defending myself. No you do the same. You cannot. You are a message board coward. Your response will sound something like this:
"You said Oregon was the best. You are wrong. Enough said."
You cannot answer the questions because:
1- You just aren't smart enough to do it.
2- Your message board ego is too weak to risk being made a fool of.
3- You know any answer you provide is going to be wrong, because secretly you know what I'm saying is right but don't want to admit it because you really had no clue what team dynamics was. Now that I exlpained it to you, it makes sense, and you can't fathom admitting your ignorance.
4- You realize you are ignorant, can't answer the question, and went back to work on your 11th grade home economics project- a dry macaroni noodle sculpture of Maurice Clarrett to sit on your bed stand.
Go ahead Bucky, see if you can formulate some sort of rational response to the original post.
Oh, and Coach 3, you are right about UK. That is part of the example I posed to him, the difference in the collapse of those 3 teams in UK, USF and USC. All collapsed for different reasons. He's too busy repeating "Ohio State is so awesome" while facing a mirror in his Big Kat jersey to actually debate any question I asked him. Thank goodness for the smart OSU fans on here, or we would think all of them were like him.

Even more of this? Good Lord, you really are concernced with the perception others on here have of you. And you claim once again that I have the ego problem?

Not at all Bucky. I'm just trying to get you to man up and respond. I see you refuse to do so. Got all I needed from you. You proved your own debate cowardice.
