Thanks, CJH. Our two objective scoring systems yield the same standings....basically, except for your ties.

YW. I like seeing how my results compares to yours once you have posted them. I have Duke and Rice reversed. BTW, the ties aren't really ties as the higher place team own tiebreaker advantages.

This might be somewhat interesting. I added in Houston's win versus SMU and now LSU and Oregon are dead even through my system's first three factors. If the ideal format were in place, two teams would have to finish with identical records, opps' records, and opps' opps' records for that to occur. Anyway, both have 41 PP, 8-1 records, and 85 SS. Oregon leads LSU in net points 187-178. Imagine if that determined the second playoff team.

YES, VU does. There are two SOS elements built into the SAC scoring system :
1) A SAC team receives 3 points for any win over a Sagarin top 25 team (A win vs any other 1A team is`worth 2 points)
2) A SAC team receives 1 point in any loss to a top 25 Sagarin team in which the point spread is covered

Seeing that there are always a bunch of SEC teams in that top 25, Vandy has some very good SAC point system opportunities by playing in the SEC. For example, if AFA (which leads the conf by 2 points) loses to ND and Vandy can beat KY, the Dores will take the SAC lead via its 3 point win.

I know you were joking but I want the SAC to be fair based on SOS and I think it is.

NCT, there is no shame in SEC homerism. Down here we just like to call it being honest!!

NCT, you truly are a 'thinking' SEC fan

Ha ha! Respect for differences????? NCT, I think that may just be an Atlanta thing! Cross Georgia's eastern border, and you'll find SC folks are a tad bit more resistant to change!
